Every year, in addition to the many donations we give to local charities to support our community, Rio staff participate in an annual fundraiser for a local non-profit charitable cause. In the past, we have supported Cayucos Beautiful, Cayucos High School Music Boosters, Cayucos High School Athletics, Paws for a Cause, Cayucos Dragon Boat Cancer Survivor group, and many others. For the year 2017, we are pleased to present Grandma Betty’s Cookbook! In honor of the very patriotic Betty Hohensee, Teri’s beloved mother, our fundraiser this year will benefit veterans. Regardless of our personal feelings about any temporary administration, we ALWAYS support our vets! For $20 you get more than just a cute, vintage style cookbook! It is also a great organizer for your loose recipes with pockets and blank pages designed for you to write or tape your favorite recipes. It is a reference too, with charts, helpful tips and information to help you in the kitchen. Also, you get a free e-copy! Information on the first page lets you download a copy of the recipes to any smartphone, tablet, laptop, or kindle. Best of all, we give 20% of all sales to an organization that helps veterans. So you also get the warm fuzzy feeling of helping us, to help them. Buy one today at Rio Salon and Spa in beautiful Morro Bay! It makes a great gift!
